Grizzly Oil Sands ULC has applied for permission to develop a 11,300-bbl-per-day steam-assisted gravity drainage oilsands project at Algar Lake, Alberta, expected to operate at an average capacity of 10,000 bbls per day over a design life of 30 years.

Based on preliminary scoping and design work being done by Syncrude Canada Ltd. and Exxon Mobil Corporation, Syncrude now believes its existing Mildred Lake upgrading facility has latent capacity that can be unlocked through a series of debottleneck projects, Canadian Oil Sands Trust reported today.
